Bentwater, April Sound, Walden and the other gated developments around Lake Conroe run tight deed restrictions, and a steel container on a residential lot is the kind of thing they were written to prevent. We would rather tell you that now than after you’ve paid for a truck. Read your covenants or call your association before you order anything — from us or anyone else.
Out along 149, 105 and the farm roads toward Dobbin and Plantersville, it’s a different world. Real acreage, horse property, people who bought land to have room. This is where most of what we put down around Montgomery actually goes, and it’s almost always a 40ft high cube — the room is there and the cost per square foot is better.
The clay out here holds water. A drive that a loaded tilt-bed handles fine in August can bog it in February, and a stuck truck is an expensive afternoon for everybody. If your route crosses low ground or a soft spot, say so when you ask for the quote and we’ll plan around the weather rather than around optimism.
